Bollywood Movie Sequels - How can They Score within the Box Office

Bollywood sequels are often hot subjects particularly when the first part or prequel does very well in the box office. Don 2, the industry sequel to SRK-starrer Don, will release this year. That's a great deal of time, considering Don-The Chase Begins released in 2006. This really is because now, Bollywood sequels are now being produced in an alarmingly fast rate. The sequel of Dostana has already been underway as the one of of the superhit thriller Race reaches the scripting stage. Jaane Tu Ya Jaana Na sequel may also be considered.

As we all know, a sequel isn't a remake. To put it really, Don-The Chase Begins would be a jazzed up remake of the classic hit Don(Amitabh Bachchan starrer), but Don-2 would be the sequel. This only denotes we'll are in possession of exactly the same suave gadget-friendly, smooth talking Don in an adventure of the different. Usually, the characters, the setting or cast of sequel stay the same as the prequel. A sequel movie is one thing the industry continuation or extension to the prequel or even the former plot. For example, Raaz 2(2009) isn't a sequel to Raaz. (2000). Usually, Bollywood movie sequels release inside a gap of two or Three years.

Coming to Bollywood sequels, here are a few really famous and never so famous ones:

1. Dhoom 2 (2006) would be a major blockbuster hit (one of the highest box office earners ever) along with a bigger success than its predecessor Dhoom (2004)

2. Krrish (2006) the sequel to Koi... Mil Gaya (2003) would be a huge hit, and the most popular Bollywood super-hero film.

3. Hathyar (2002) traced the life span of Raghu's son who also eventually ends up like a gangster, a follow-up to arguably one of Sanjay Dutt's best films Vaastav (1999). However Hathyar flopped miserably in the box-office

4. Lagey Raho Munnabhai (2006) would be a cult super hit, winning 4 national awards and the lovable term 'Gandhigiri'. The Sanjay Dutt starrer would be a bigger hit than its predecessor, an excellent film on its own, Munnabhai MBBS (2003) (Sequel gap: Three years )

5. Sarkar Raj (2008), followed on the heels of the successful Sarkar (2005) didn't work as well since it's prequel that was far more intriguing and filled with intensity.

6. Golmaal Returns (2008), a mad cap comedy was the 2nd biggest hit of 2008, second simply to Ghajini. Golmaal Returns would be a successful sequel to the hit Golmaal (2006)

7. Phir Hera Pheri (2006), part 2 of Hera Pheri (2000) wasn't any match to the original cult comedy. Nevertheless the sequel did a good business in the box-office.

Bollywood sequels we wish to see:

1. Race 2 (However, it might be a difficult one to conquer )

2. Dhamaal (sequel to 2007 hit)

3. Garam Masala (would really like to the pranks of the awesome twosome)

4. Dil Chahta Hai
