After another wonderful holidays it's once more time for you to summary the film recent results for the ultimate weekend of 2010 and transfer to 2011. Because of the nature of the holiday weekend there weren't any smash hits released last weekend therefore it could be up to the mid December releases to fight it for that weekend earnings. Little Fockers grabbed hold of the first place box office position for that second weekend consecutively adding $26 million for their bi weekly total of $103. A million. Little Fockers comments are mixed as the third installment of the storyline isn't living up to the original but provides an excellent selection for moviegoers searching for a star studded comedy.
The latest of the Coen Brothers movies, True Grit, gave Little Fockerssome much needed competition making $24. 5 million and owning the 2nd place box office spot. True Grit, which stars Matt Damon and Jeff Bridges, could bring their total gross earnings to $86. 8 million surpassing their previous best discharge of No Country For Old Men which topped out at $74. 3 million. The reviews of the film happen to be good so search for continued success over the next weekends as there are very little big movies on the horizon.
TRON: Legacy isn't finished quite yet as the fantasy sequel added $18. 3 million bringing their three week total to $130. 9 million. The film stars Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde and it is getting great reviews and also at the pace it's at is should surpass the $131. Six million mark set through the July 1st 2010 film The Last Airbender. Look with this film to carry on its momentum over the next weeks with new and repeat viewers.
On a not too successful note, How Would you Know, starring Paul Rudd, Reese Witherspoon and Owen Wilson continues its lackluster performance in the box office. The film grabbed the 12th spot in the box office a few days ago getting a pathetic $4. Six million along with a three week total of $25. A million. With a financial budget of over $100 million this film will more than like find itself taking a loss.
