The wolfman Grips US Audiences Friday

This may be the weekend that summer movie buffs have circled within their calendars. This is actually the weekend I've circled during my calendar. It's the official kickoff of the Summer Blockbuster season at theaters round the country, which year it comes down to to begin with an enormous, clanking, metallic bang!

Iron Man 2, the long awaited sequel to 2008's Iron Man, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow, is poised to consider America by storm starting this Friday. Many theater chains across the nation are get yourself ready for an invasion of movie fans late Thursday night, and can host midnight parties and gala events - complete with the first showings of the season's must-see mega-hit.

The film opened a few days ago all over the world, and early indications are super positive. The film showed for that first amount of time in 53 international territories where it's already made $100. Two million, including $12. Two million in England and $10. 8 million in Columbia. The first Iron Man opened in the usa in 2008 to some weekend box office of $96 million, and continued to make $585 million worldwide.

While Iron Man 2 is anticipated to be very popular with moviegoers, its not all Comic Book/Super Hero film has been doing as well. Actually, some happen to be huge disappointments. Elektra, that was a Daredevil spinoff starring Jennifer Garner would be a box office failure after the prosperity of Daredevil starring Garner and hubby Film clip. Ang Lee's The Hulk am bad in theaters it had been practically forgotten by moviegoers the next week. Remember Catwoman with Halle Berry? You would be in a nutshell company if you do. The highly touted Watchmen ended up a dry, dull disappointment that left many fans of the graphic novel series scratching their heads.

However, comic super heroes like a film format is, generally, a ticket to box office success. Superman, Spiderman, and Batman have enjoyed unprecedented success, as has Ironman, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four. So, why is one particular superhero an admirer favorite and the other a dud? Longevity and familiarity. These specific comic heroes have been in existence for many years and for that reason have fan bases that transcend any one generation or demographic. I recall Superman, Spiderman, Batman, and Ironman like a kid, and today small children love them just like much when i did. When generations of households visit superhero movies together there might be no question of the popularity.

So, I have a hostile plan scheduled with this weekend, because there is no way I will miss this movie, and there is not a way I'm only seeing it once. After all, I have been waiting since concerning the day after the first one arrived on the scene in 2008 with this sequel. First, I will a midnight showing. There is a theater just a couple of blocks from me and i am going, with or without other people. Then I will view it again on Friday afternoon with a few friends. Had this planned for some time, and our tickets happen to be bought and taken care of.

My weekend won't hold on there, however, because I intend on watching Iron Man in HD a few days ago on EPIX. So, after I recieve back on Friday night from watching Iron Man 2 on the giant screen I'll browse the original in Hd, after which I am going back to the theater to trap the sequel again, so I've everything straight!

I havenrrrt heard of you but this is actually the best movie weekend of the year, and that i can't wait to look at Iron Man 2 on the giant screen, encompassed by state-of-the-art sound and some hundred of my closest friends! Hope I've recovered out of this action packed weekend by Monday!
